Mistakes and Miracles

Mistake: Not making that hair appointment!

Disclaimer: ***I want you to know that I am in no way being compensated for this post by anyone…I truly am just sharing with you a product I love and that get’s me through until my next hair appointment!***

Seriously…I don’t care if you are a man or a woman, we have all felt this way at some time or another. There is a very crucial moment in time when you look in the mirror and think to yourself. “I need to make an appointment to get my hair done.”

Then the very next morning, you’re making sure you didn’t suddenly turn into Rip Van Winkle waking up 20 years later…because your hair sure look like you are!

Now I understand men who need to take it up above the ears a little bit but ladies you know where I’m going with this. My hair is long, and very dark brown, and the hot Texas sun glimmering down, even in the dead of January, will find the one grey hair on my head and magnify it to the point the glare can be seen from the space station.

Bahahaha! Did I say one grey hair? I’m a single mom running her own real estate business, taxing kids, managing money, relationships, and in my 40’s. I have a head full of grey hair! I also have a kick-ass hair stylist (@stylemeprettyshelby) who is pure magic and everyone knows it so she can’t always fit me in between a latte and a listing appointment.

So I’m going to share with you a secret…I paint my hair. Yep, I said it! And ladies Madison Reed Root Touch Up is about to be your lifesaver! Men…just go to great clips and tell them to take a little off the top and around the ears.

Here’s the before this morning fresh out of the shower!

And now the after…and the fact that I am posting this with no makeup on is a testament to how much I love Madison Reed Root Touch Up! Is it perfect full coverage? No, you won’t look like you just left the salon…can I walk outside without a baseball cap and feel secure and like I didn’t miss 900 appointments at the salon? Yep!

Some of the grey is still peaking through a bit but some of it has to do with the lighting in the bathroom. Either way…if you are like me, short on time and long on grey hair…I urge you to try Madison Reed Root Touch Up. The thing I love the most is it stays put until I wash my hair, and I can layer it. Usually, I’ll apply it right after I blow dry my hair, then do my make up and come back and add another “coat”! Ha!

Here’s there video…and I just watched again myself. I should tell you next time I order I may go a shade darker than my normal color, maybe those pesky few strands won’t peak through as much.
